1. Zero-Account & Data Minimization Stance
Viditok is engineered from the ground up to operate with minimal data collection. You do not need to register an account, provide an email address, or provide any social media credentials to use our core features.
2. Ephemeral Temporary File Storage & Auto-Purge
When you upload a video or process a clip in our Video Studio, your media is placed in an isolated temporary directory. Files are retained strictly for the duration of the encoding process and are permanently purged:
- Immediately after download streaming completes; or
- Automatically by our background cleanup sweeps within 15 minutes of upload.
We do not maintain permanent copies of your media files on our origin servers or backup disks.
3. Canadian PIPEDA & Quebec Law 25 Compliance
Viditok complies with Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Act 25 of Quebec:
- Purpose Specification: Telemetry and IP records are maintained solely in ephemeral sliding-window memory to protect our servers against automated abuse and DDoS.
- No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or media files to third-party data brokers.
- Privacy Contact: For any privacy-related questions or data removal requests, contact us at
privacy@viditok.com.
4. Advertising & Cookie Disclosures
Advertising placements on Viditok adhere to standard privacy and consent guidelines. When enabled, third-party advertising partners may place non-sensitive cookies in compliance with regional regulations (such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA).
